The plan covers the day to day
A Cabo all-inclusive plan pays for the things you do every day at the resort. That means the buffet, most of the à la carte restaurants, house wine, beer, cocktails and soft drinks, the pools and the beach loungers. Evening shows and daytime activities such as yoga or pool games are usually part of it too.
Some charges sit outside the plan
The price you see on a booking page does not always match the bill at checkout. These are the lines that most often appear on it:
- A mandatory resort or service fee, charged per room or per person each night at some resorts.
- Premium spirits and wines that sit above the house pours.
- Specialty restaurants that take a supplement or a reservation fee.
- Spa treatments, golf and motorised water sports.
- Airport transfers between San José del Cabo airport and the resort.
Ask four questions before you book
Ask whether there is a resort fee and how much it is. Ask which restaurants need a reservation and whether any charge extra. Ask whether room service carries a delivery charge. Ask whether the airport transfer is included.
Check the final booking page
The final page on the booking site lists taxes and any fees the resort declares. Read it before you pay, and compare resorts on that total rather than on the headline nightly rate.
